What is it about bad boys?

Why does a phone call to get drinks with little advance notice seem more appealing than the standard 2-3 day later dinner date?

Why when your friends tell you to go with a guy because he seems 'sweet', are we immediately attracted to the one who they've classified as a 'player'?

tattoos, fast cars, guitars, motorcycles . . .

Kid Rock, 50 Cent, Tommy Lee . . .

military boys, skaters, firefighters, musicians . . .

ALL BAD, BUT OH SO HOT!

Do we want all of these things? Not necessarily. But do we think they're hot? Yes!! Why?! What the heck is the appeal?!

Of course girls want a guy that will treat them right and we would never settle for a guy who is an asshole, but we still can't help but be attracted to the 'bad boy'.

Girls are attracted to different types of boys for different reasons. I guess the reason I find myself so attracted to bad boys is because it nurtures my adventurous side. The spontaneity of it all seems to make me swoon . . .

But I still can't help but ask - what is it about a bad boy that feels oh so good?
