new music

Although I thoroughly support and participate in the art of illegal music trading, I'm pretty convinced that there's nothing like the feeling of going to the record store and actually purchasing a cd. I almost always know exactly what cd I want when I go in, but I spend at least a good half hour perusing the entire store. I just like flipping through all the cds. It's fun to discover something new, or find a cd that I forgot I had always wanted, or come across something I already own and remember how good it is. My favorite part though is the feeling of walking out of the record store, new cd in hand, and being so excited about it that I can't even wait til I get to my car before I start ripping off the plastic wrapping. And then of course I absolutely love the feeling of driving home, rolling my windows down, and blaring my new music as loud as possible; all while rockin' out with a big silly grin on my face . . . ahhhh, I love it.

ah yes... let's talk about it shall we *caugh*consumeristslut*caugh*? congradulations lisa, that was the worst thing i've heard all day. you've offically (and literally) bought into the record company's idea of what your music experience should be. honestly, do you really get that much satisfaction from tearing away the plastic? do you not think you'd enjoy yourself just as much if there were a computer at the store which you could connect your 'pod and download? really??? not even if they gave you a slice of crinkly wrapper to play with?

hehe... i expect to catch some good shit for this one. =)

Baq, you're officially cut off.

How sad for you since I'm pretty sure you'd want copies of my new purchases.
