DVR is just about the greatest invention even. I can't believe that I ever lived my life with out it. Shannon and I just got one installed on Friday, we've probably recorded about 20 shows by now, and already tv watching feels so much better.

They're not joking when they say 'watch what you want, when you want'. My life is no longer controlled by the stupid schedules the networks set up for me. When I come home from work I'm no longer forced to drain 5 hours of my life watching dozens of episodes of Friends before prime time tv starts. (Not that I don't like Friends, it's just that I've already seen every episode about 50 times now.)

I've always hated that I can spend entire evenings sitting on my couch wasting away watching stupid tv shows I don't even really like; and the worst part is that it all happens within the blink of an eye. Networks suck you in and before you know it, it's 10:30pm, you haven't eaten dinner, your ass is asleep, and you're still in your work clothes. NOT ANYMORE! I can now watch whatever shows I want to at any time I want to. IE: Forgot to catch The Daily Show last night? How about I watch it now? Was out with friends on a Sunday and sat at dinner bummed because Family Guy or the Simpsons were on? No worries, I'll catch it some other night. Forgot that Miami Ink is on on Wednesdays? How about I watch it Thursday when I get home from work. AND GET THIS - I don't have to watch commercials! I can fast forward right past them. Right there I've easily saved hundreds of hours of my life. So great!!!

So, in conclusion - if you don't have DVR, you should definitely get it. Shan cancelled Skinamax when she added DVR and our bill is $5 less a month. Crazy huh? Get it! It's good stuff!
