I was driving home for lunch today when I realized that I suddenly missed the beach. It was really weird. It just all of the sudden hit me. It suddenly felt like I hadn't seen it in a really long time. It also suddenly felt really far away (when really it's only roughly a mile). It made me kinda sad that I don't get to look down the block from my apartment anymore to see water and sand.

So, I went home, made my lunch, packed it up, and drove down to the beach. I ended up sitting in my car just staring into the ocean munching away on my lunch. I drove away with a wonderfully full and happy feeling that put a smile on my face. It was kinda awesome. So, I now have a new pact with myself that says I will drive down to the beach for lunch at least once a week. : )
