cube revelations

Since I’ve started my new job I’ve become increasingly aware of how easily sound travels through cubes. Most noises are muted, however, it seems that voices travel through (and over) the padded make-shift walls fairly easily.

And it got me thinking . . . if I worked in the adjacent accounting department and heard about all the projects the design/communications department was working on I think would become quite jealous and maybe a little resentful.

Then I realized that those thoughts just confirm the reasons I chose the profession I did.

And that thought made me smile.
